The ugly beauty of Halloween!

Once a year, we get the chance to play in the dreamiest of beauty products to get us to the ugliest pretty we can be in preparation for One, yes just one night! The big fright night, Halloween!

Beauty can be as diverse as that luscious lip look, and amazingly showstopping eye looks. That we all dream to be, with the perfect brow and look for you. Yet it can create stunningly ugly beauty looks, that of Halloween, of vampires, skulls, animals and ‘dead’ people. Here we have found the perfect palette from SEVENTEEN Easy on the Eye Palette in the Big Smoke, £7.99.
Full of perfect purples for subtle to striking shading, and deep blues plus marvellous metallic eyeshadow creams which provide a primer and a blending base as well as a shadow colour to form new and exciting looks, this is provides the diversity for a trick or treat look.

Here we have used this palette and NYX The Curve liner in Jet Black, £12 to put together two completely different looks for fright night! (Please excuse the skull (image on Social media channels) look it started out fantastically and then I got tired 😂 so didn’t end up so well!)

The ‘Treat’ look consists of the lighter purple blended into the entire eye and into the crease, delicately and softly. The light natural shade across the brow line, then using the deeper sparkly purple shade top left I added a smoke on the outer eye and into the edge of the crease. Then layered on top from the inner eye and across the lid I blended the silver eyeshadow cream across, bright and pigmented in metallic sheen so much more than I expected, I then reblended the dark purple on the outer crease into the wing, the silver creating a deeper denser purple pigment with spectacular sheen. I then lined from the centre of the eye out into a small win from the top and bottom lid. The curve liner being dark and densely charcoal and perfect for any Halloween look.

The Trick look (not the best is it 😂 however this gave us the perfect playtime to test the depth, blendability and pigment strengths of the

SEVENTEEN Easy on the Eye Palette in the Big Smoke, £7.99. Finding that the light purple is the perfect shadow play from the palettes with the three other purple shades being perfect to add depth and shadow to any look you try.
