Stay home & stay safe with ten top tips for safety at home with Fairy Non Bio.

Our favourites for George, Fairy Non Bio have worked with ROSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents), to create some top tips to help keep all of our children safe at home. With more of us spending more time at home, these tips are more important than ever, to prevent accidents and help relieve the pressures on the NHS.

Fairy Non Bio is also partnering and working alongside, presenter, model and mum Vogue Williams, who took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of how she cares for gorgeous baby Theo.

Vogue: “Spending more time at home means it’s more important than ever to make our homes safer for our little ones. I’m excited to continue working with Fairy Non Bio to raise awareness of the unexpected hazards in the home – including during the laundry, cooking and even just getting ready in the morning.

Taking little actions can make a real difference. For example, when doing laundry, it’s important to always close the pack with a ‘click clack’ sound and keep out of reach of children.”

Top Tips Include:

THE LAUNDRY POD – Laundry pods are made to be used by adults. Treat them how you would all household items. Keep them out of reach of children and close the pack securely with a click clack after use.

THE HAIR STRAIGHTNER – Unplug and put them away and out of reach of children straight after use, to avoid burns.

THE HOT DRINK – Keep out of reach of children, so they don’t accidently spill hot liquid on themselves.

THE CURTAIN CORD – Keep curtain cords wrapped up high and tight so children cannot play with them.

THE POT AND PAN – When cooking, turn pot and pan handles inwards.

THE GRAPE – Cut grapes into small pieces so that children can easily eat them.

THE HANDBAG – Keep handbags up high to avoid toddlers putting small items in their mouth.

THE BUTTON & COIN BATTERY – Coin batteries are more common in household items, but are very dangerous if left loose. Dispose of straight away, as they are a common choking risk for children.

THE PENCIL – Pencils count as sharp items so it’s important to keep them out of reach of little hands, and supervise very young children when they are using them.

THE DISHWASHER POD – Keep dishwasher pods out of reach of children and use the child lock feature to keep the door closed whilst the cycle is on.
